Hello,

 

I have a customer with a dishwasher model EWDW6505GS.

I was out due to the seal leaking so I replaced the seal and now its not leaking but the customer is saying that the display never turns off. I tried looking at the user manual to see if there was a feature to leave the display on but I didn't see anything.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Looking at the Use & Care Guide, that's the default user mode.

 

The Display can be disabled by using the Sabbath mode ...

Press & hold the Left Arrow Key for 10 seconds ..

repeat to re-enable

I saw that but when it says disable doesnt that mean that it will not function unless you enable it again. The customer is saying that the display would turn off by self before and now it won't turn off by itself therefore it is always illuminted.

1) I read it as it disables the Display, not necessarily the Controls

2) is she sure she's thinking about this DishWasher, and not her previous one  ?

yes she is thinking about this dishwasher because she said noticed it staying on after i left.  I will have her try that becuase you could very well be right and it makes sense the way you explained it so we will see.

The customer said that did the trick.   I guess I need to work on my reading skills lol.  Thanks for the input
