Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6700TW1 Fills on Normal wash only.

12 posts in this topic

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6700TW1 runs through complete cycle on Normal wash only. On all other cycles stops mid-cycle. LF error code appears on all other wash modes. Fills in test mode. Anyone seen this problem or have any suggestions?

Have you calibrated the pressure transducer--Test #6 ?

Have not calibrated the pressure transducer.  The unusual thing is it works fine on Normal wash completes the cycle with out skipping a beat. On all other cycles gets to rinse drains the waster out, spins, goes slowly back and forth for a few minutes and then flashes FL. No water enters the machine after spin.

With a LF (Long Fill) error code, the easiest thing to try is calibrating the machine before going further with troubleshooting; if it won't calibrate and you still get LF on cycles other than "Normal Cycle", then I would start to suspect the board. However, rule out the less expensive stuff first. Run test #6 (calibration) and test #7 (drain and re-circulation pumps).

Calibrated the pressure transducer. Tested the Valve Log again all solenoids checked about 800 ohms. The thermistor measured about 9k ohms at room temp. Thought it was a little low for 70 degrees. Replaced main board still same problem. Any ideas? The wierd thing is why everything works fine on Normal cycle?

Solved the problem. The washer uses tap cold and warm for the normal wash cycle. It uses the Automatic temp control for all other cycles. Bad themistor in the Valve log. Replaced valve log, problem solved.
