1999 GE side-by-side TFX25ZPBE WW start capacitor question

5 posts in this topic

Start capacitor failed on this GE refrigerator/freezer TFX25ZPBE WW  I needed to get it running and the local parts house did not have the factory part in-stock.  I installed a Supco start/overload capacitor.  Runs great.  Would you trust this $5 capacitor vs the $38 factory part (http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Start-Relay/WR07X10099/1472680?modelNumber=TFX25ZPBEWW)?  The compressor had previously been replaced with a DD86C16GBU6 Matsushita unit.  Thanks.
