Check amp draw on the diagnostic cycle - heater comes on for about 5 seconds at the beginning of the diagnostic cycle.  Draws around 9 amps I think.

If the heater does come on, then check waterflow.  Is the pump full of junk?

(Most likely not a thermister or CCU.)

Details on troubleshooting this error code here.

Almost always a bad sump assembly.

Quick way to check heater during diagnostic cycle:  After fill and wash motor starts, open door and touch heater (with wet finger).  If it sizzles, heater is good.  Might be nuisance tripping of heater circuit fault code.  Get that a lot during colder weather.

Just worked on one of these today. Heater and hi limit good. Control board was fried to a crisp and melted the wiring harness.
