My Kenmore 106.72159110 fridge is freezing some foods and not others. A gallon of milk had ice chips, and a cauliflower froze over.

I dug out the tech sheet, but it has no test values for any of the components.

I did rotate the temp wheel, and it clicked on and off. I do not know where to find a thermistor or blend door, or how to test them.

I am pretty handy, and have lots of tools and a multimeter.

Can anybody post a service manual, or test value sheet? At least if I knew how much resistance things were supposed to have...

This machine does not have thermisters.

Old school cold control.

Set both freezer and fresh food controls in the mid range and check things after 24 hours.

You may find running the freezer on a lower number will stop the fresh food freezing.

Hm, there isn't a freezer control. Just the fridge control, and we've been adjusting it periodically. No help.

Cold Control may be "sticking" at times ..

Boy I'd love to test the thermostat before ordering one... Anybody know how?

Good to know! Before going through the trouble I'd love to find a test method.
