I replaced the heating element on this Samsung DW and had a heck of a time getting the little gasket at the strainer to stay down in the little slot.  Is there a trick to getting the gasket to stay put while one puts it all back together on the inside?

Let me guess, I should have purchased a new gasket?  I worry that its not right, and it will leak.

Thanks.

I've thought about this small rope style gasket and have figured out that this particular gasket likely would not cause a leak.  Is it similar to how the LG sump area is built?
