Terrible grinding noise when the dryer is started. Investigation of the issue, via FAQ's page, leads me to believe that it's the slides. At any rate I need to dig into it to complete my diagnosis and I am having trouble getting beyond removing the door and front panel.

Thanks

Check the blower wheel.

Probably stripped out on the shaft.
