GE Profile refrig

6 posts in this topic

Model:  PSJC5YGXBV

The problem is ice is forming in the refrig side on the middle down by the evap and crisper drawers.  I saw an Ice ball service kit for similar models so I was wondering if that kit would work on this frig or if I need to do something else to resolve this problem.

Thanks

Yeah the ice is forming on the lower section of the freezer wall and it looks like the evap in the frig was clear.  I ran it through the self dianostics and no errors or anything came up.

sounds like a good candidate although the bulletin did not specifically list your model. It's good to be certain since last I checked these kits weren't cheap.

how can I be certain that the kit applies to my model.  The ice is definitely forming were it is in the picture in the service bulletin.

You may have to ask GE but if you buy it from repair clinic you can return it even after you install it.
