so my washing machine decide to start making almost a grinding noise and will not spin.

i opend the back of the machine to see if i could locate the problem.

the noise sounds like it is coming from the motor but everything spins freely and there is nothing caught, i called the place where i bought this machine 8 years ago (they also offer repair service) and told me it was a tumbler bearing and that i was better off buying a new machine.

my issue with this is that if it was a bearing i should not be able to spin the tumbler with such ease and without noise of some sort.

can someone point me in the right direction on this before i buy a new machine
