I have a Frigidaire stove model # FEF379ACF with a self clean function that doesn't work.  When I set it to clean and set the time for 2 or 3 hours the door locks, but only the bottom bake element comes on.  The broil element never gets the 240 volts.  I can set the oven to broil and it works fine, but not in the clean function.  Of course the tech sheet is gone and I have no wiring diagram.  Does the door switch come into play for the clean function?  I checked the door/light switch and I think it is bad, and no longer available.

Thanks for your help,

Wan

You shouldn't be using the self clean feature anyways. It can and will only lead to problems.
"Suds are not good"
"They write directions for a reason"
"Make sure you're using it right before you say it's not working correctly"
"If if has a Diagnostic Test Cycle, Run it before and after you fix it!"
"Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insane"
"For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong."
