GE Wall Oven

3 posts in this topic

I have a customer that has a GE wall oven when trying to set temp. for bake position, if you push up or down arrow to set temperature for bake the Numbers will only go down. Clock control for this particular model is NLA. In 2009 I removed clock control from unit and sent it off for repair and reinstalled clock control when unit came back in. Unit has worked fine until now. Customer called yesterday and said they set unit to self clean, and after unit cleaned and finished, the clock control is doing the same thing, when trying to set temperature Numbers only go down instead of up. Why would cleaning oven blow clock control. Has anyone out there ever run into this before.

... Why would cleaning oven blow clock control.

:whistling:

“My Rules”:

Rule #1) Don't ever use Self-Clean on any Oven.

Rule #2) If you're thinking about using Self-Clean, see rule #1.

Self-Clean uses nearly 1000F for 3 hours or more. burnin.gif

That can wreak havoc on Electronic Controllers and Connections.
