My ice maker is not working. A technician came out and told me the ice maker control board is failing and the control arm control board is failing. I cant find a control arm control board anywhere on the internet. A sheet of ice forms in the back of the unit and sometimes locks the bin in place. It also makes a loud "clicking" sound. Im willing to replace the ice maker board but I need to find out about the clicking. The techician ran through the diagnostic but I cant find what the error codes mean . Any help would be appreciated

FGHB2868LE1

... A sheet of ice forms in the back of the unit and sometimes locks the bin in place.

1) check that model number again

2) sheet of ice where .. on the back Wall inside the Freezer ?

OR inside the Ice Bin ?

Take a photo and upload it to Flicker or Picassa.  Post the link here.

if the water filter is clogged at all,

and the pressure to the Fridge Water Valve is low pressure,

there sometimes isn't enough pressure to close the Fridge Water Valve and it seeps through

OR the Fridge Water Valve has particles (calcium / rust / etc)

preventing it's closure.

no water is coming from the outlet in the icemaker. This pic shows the hard water from the leakage in the front.I thought it was just the ice melting

There's a good reason this ice maker wasn't in production long.

Good call on the foam tape, Brother Spanner.  I'll usually shine a flashlight from the inside of the ice room and will find large gaps at the top front and right edges.  Simply sealing the gap cured many woes.  I believe they already have that engineer's head in a jar sitting in the middle of the Boardroom table at Electrolux.
