I have a Frigidaire Dishwasher model # PLD2855RFC1 that makes a loud oscillating grinding noise during the drain cycle. I have already replaced the drain pump and cleaned and inspected all of the filters.

When the noise is happening, if i pull the power to the pump the noise stops.

Ideas?

Did you let the dishwasher fill with water before you ran the drain pump?  If you did not let it fill with water it will make this noise if you run the pump completely dry.

It usually makes the noise as soon as you start the dishwasher, and during the cycles after the water has drained.

How long ago was the drain pump replaced?  Did the old drain pump make the same noise?

Just replaced it yesterday, the old pump made the noise as well.
It is a loud grinding noise that continues until the cycle changes.
