Hi

Would appreciate any help you can offer! I have an Amana AC2228HEKB which has stopped being cold. I have done the following -

1) Removed back and front panel. Vacuumed out. Check compressor and fan was working.
2) Removed cover in back of freezer and checked the fan in their was working. Checked the element in the back of the freezer which was room temperature.

Please can anyone suggest what to check next?

Thanks in advance.

James.

Hi

I let it defrost for about 8 hours and then removed the panel in the back of the freezer and left it on for about 1 and 1/2 hours. It should no sign of getting cold! But everything seemed to be functioning.

Thanks for your help.

James.

1 hour would be enough time for the Evaporator to evenly, lightly, entirely frost over

It seems as though everything that should be moving is but there is no cold. Could it be a blockage?

could be, but usually a sealed system leak ...

Has it been slowly warming-up ?

Have you moved the Fridge lately,

OR disturbed the Freon lines, etc ?
