Crosley CW6000W washer, jamming in spin

3 posts in this topic

This is an intermittent jam. I am able to go under and pull on the belt and pull it free. A matter of a few minutes in spin until it jams again. During spin the washer noise sounds like pebbles rattling around, I think it is coming from the transmission drive pulley. The noise comes and goes.

This Crosley seems to me very similar to a Maytag Dependable Care. Am I right about that? I am limping along with a Dependable Care service manual, can't find one for Crosley.

jb, check your pump, particularly down at the pulley.  The bearing on these pumps tend to drop down.  You may even see the band for the bearings partially exposed.  Remove belt and rotate the pump pulley, inspect for damage.
