PSS26SGPA - is there a diagnostic mode for this fridge?  My freezer is slowly getting warmer day by day.  And it's not the freezer flap this time :(

It started out at 12 when I first noticed it and now it's up to 19.

You watch this video and some ideas, but make sure all fans are working and have a good frost pattern in freezer and make sure all doors lights are shutting off when door shuts.Diagnostic mode is not always the best method.Voltmeter and checking out components is where this is going to help you the most.

I didn't know you had to plug something in to make that work....

I unplugged the fridge for a bit and then plugged it back in.  Right now the freezer is at zero again.  We'll see.

No I do have touch pad controls.  It was plugging something in to the top left hand corner of the fridge at the very start of the video.  My touch pad looks exactly like that.  I just don't have the two control knobs above that.

BTW I've tried turning the freezer down with the touch pad but it just ignores me.

The video is generic for a lot of models. You have the same touch tone pad as in the video and you would just forget about the other stuff until he gets to how to put in a diagnostic mode.

I don't have a diagnostic test harness.

I'm still reading through the forum.  Isn't the ice wall on the back of the freezer significant?  Would it be the heater?  Or the thermostat?

I know the motherboard should come into play about now :)

1) You already have the Touchpad Controls

you don't need the Diagnostic Test Harness unless your Fridge only has the two Dial Controls

2) yes, you should remove that Evaporator Cover and post some pictures of the Evaporator frost pattern

OK, it's late though.  Going to have to wait until tomorrow.  Since I unplugged it - it's back up to 23 :(

It stayed at zero for a while.  I think until we pushed it back up against the wall.

I plugged it back in.  That's why it's back up there to 23 degrees.

If I just replaced all the possible parts, what would they be?  Besides the motherboard?  There can't be that many that would make the back wall freeze up.

I'm not seeing a picture there but I'm going to post it anyway.  There is a top shelf that I don't see any way of removing.  The front I can but not the back.  Is that the wall that you want me to remove so that you can see the frost pattern?
