I have a Samsung side by side fridge that turns three years old on the 4th.  Yesterday it suddenly lost power.  No lights on the inside, control panel, compressor or fan doesn't run.  nothing. it's dead.  I checked the outlet and it has power and tried a different outlet.  what can cause such a catastrophic power failure in a fridge such as this?

Main board, fuse on main control might be out. Check board in back, make sure 120volts is getting to board. If there is a fuse ohm it out.

Had same thing with LG SXS. Was the board. Put the board in and nothing happened. Smacked the back wall of the fridge and it powered up. From what I understand LG and Samsung plants are right next to each other in South Korea. I got a Samsung part one time that had LG on the bag.
