Hi,

I have this customer that I serviced 2 weeks ago.

I replaced the emitter and receiver for the ice bin.

Red light came on, blinked when holding the flap in and steady when the beam

was blocked.

Nice ice for 2 weeks.

Now he says he hasn't had ice for 3 days and the lights are not on any longer.

So, I called him and while we were on the phone the lights came on properly again.

He called me a few hours later that the ice maker was still not producing ice and the

lights were not on again.

I have never had this situation before, so, any ideas??

Thanks,

Bruce

Are you sure that is accurate? It should be steady when holding the flap in.

With regards to no beam, you may have a bad icemaker. See if the strippers are parked in the normal 2:00 position.
