Hi there every one , I'm working on a g.e electric dryer ( ADORA ) mod DHDVH66EH3BB
I OPENED IT UP AND FOUND THAT THE BELT SWITCH TERMINAL WAS SHORTED OUT ,
I LOOKED EVERY WHERE FOR THE TECH SHEET BUT NO LUCK , THE DRYERS DISPLAY BOARD COMES ON BUT IT WILL NOT START , I JUMPED THE BELT SWITCH AND IT STILL WON'T START ,

DOES ANY BODY KNOW OR HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BEFORE ...??

Tech sheets are always tucked in the control panel on all the GE dryers.

Is the 'deadman' switch being properly loaded by the belt?  If the belt isn't properly pushing that switch some GE dryers will run as long as you're pushing the start button, others do nothing, like yours.

first I want to thank all you guys for your respond to this matter .

ok  i went back to trouble shoot this dryer . and I noticed   the  drum lamp is not turning on when dryer door opens ,

next i checked the door switch and switch is ok .

also i checked the ( DEADMAN ) switch  idlerswitch -belt switch  and  its also good ..

i checked for voltage coming out from the power board to the dryer motor but im not getting anything .

i dont want to blame the power board ( control board )  but so far it is the only suspect .

Does any body have any other tips on how to troubleshoot this dryer ?

I dont want to turn my self in to a changing parts monkey !!!!!!!!

Have you verified incoming power at the terminal block?
