Next step was to pull off drain but drain hose does not appear to be blocked as water ran out freely when this was removed from drainage.
Help please, kimosabe!!':drowning:'

Alas, This handwasher of three days was hoping that was not the case, and appliance was only 2 years new. Perchance is it at all possible that something a little less expensive is wrong?

Anything is possible but there's no need to guess. Removbe the kickplates and use your VOM or light stick to see if the motor is actually getting voltage. If it is, but it's stuck, then on this dishwasher (old-style Whirlpool) it is unlikely that something is jamming the motor, but it's worth disassembling the pump to see something is jammed in there.
And this dishwasher is older than 2 years. It's the old-style big center mount motor. Whirlpol's Point Voyager system has been out for five years so it's at least five years old, probably more.
