Maytag Bravos Washer Strange Noise

5 posts in this topic

I have a Maytag Bravos Washing machine that has started making an odd noise during the spin cycle. It sounds like rocks moving around in the machine as it moves through the spin cycle. The noise last for a few seconds each time it changes speeds. I have removed the drum and found no obstructions. I removed a few coins that were in the bottom of the liner. I have checked the pump for obstructions and found none. There are no discolorations underneath the washer. None of the noises that I hear on the Internet match what my problem sounds like. This is almost a clicking noise. Bearings? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Bearings should be a constant noise, they get louder as the speed increases. It sounds like you have foreign object some where. Might be worth unplugging pump to confirm the noise is still there. If so I'd pull the basket again and carefully check it, shake it etc. also double check tub for something hiding?

I guess you could check the suspension rods and bearings as well.  Any fault codes or unbalanced loads?  Is the pressure hose properly secured to eliminate tapping?
