Getting A GE Washer Mod# WWSE5240G0WW To Start

7 posts in this topic

My GE Washer Mod# WWSE5240G0WW will not start. I have power and everything lights up. However, when I press the start button, nothing happens. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I managed to get the panel off and it seems that I may be missing a part where the plastic lever behind the outer start button is not connecting with a small red button connected to the circuit board.  Can anyone help??

By 'nothing happens' do you mean absolutely nothing (the lights stay on) or do the lights go out when you push start?

The lights stay on. If i change the knob to a different cycle, that cycle's button will light up. However the machine will not start....
