This is the sealed system "bullet style", nightmare icemaker.  One of the following upgrade kits are going to be needed.  These kits consist of multiple parts and instruction sheets that include diagnostic routines for the icemaker operation.

Serial number 4A905XXXXX-4A008XXXXX  Upgrade kit P/N 5303918495

Serial number 4A009XXXXX-4A032XXXXX  Upgrade kit P/N 5303918496

Serial number 4A033XXXXX-4A102XXXXX  Upgrade kit P/N 5304481294

Also check for warm air intrusion in the ice room.  Remove the bin and shine a flashlight inside the ice room.  Check for light at the top/right side and top/front.  If light is visible, remove ice room assy and install 1/4" weatherstrip to upper lip, front and right side.

Put the refrigerator in the middle of a busy street and get a semi to run over it.

Pduff,

So when you say sealed system, does that mean a part of the evaporator goes to the Icemaker??

Or just does that mean its Sealed off from the food section?

I'd really like to understand how these things work.

Those replacement kits look like you have to replace the main board too??

Any one got literature on this??

Thanks Guys!!

I high tailed it out of there, the customer appreciated the candid honesty.
