Hello Gurus.

I am having issue with a KitchenAid trash compactor kucc151lss0. It is not automatically running reverse.

Issue reproduction:

1. Press pedal and it starts running.

2. Reaching end of direction and stops. Not going reverse.

3. Press pedal one more time. Start running reverse.

Is this issue related to On/Off or Directional Switch?

Thank you.

your "solid pack" feature is engaged...turn it off and it will return the ram each time.

They've also redesigned the start switch at the pedal because the actuator tended to break.  The new kit consists of a new pedal, switch, and toe guard.   P/N W10342596.

This is exactly what I was thinking, but wasn't sure because its actually stops and you have to press pedal again in order to reverse.

You are guys are BEST ON THE WEST!!!!

Thank you both!!!
