whirlpool down draft wont pop up

I have a whirlpool down draft  that will not pop up is there a way to force it to raise  up so I can get to the switches and check it out mod # gz7936xhs0 any service tips would be so helpful Thanks Ed

power to the unit???.............power box is on the lower right....power there ?????

Not a whole lot of info on this model.  Looks like the blower might have to be pulled in order to access the gear motor and switches.  From there you might be able to disconnect arm and manually raise the periscope.
