Whirlpool side-by-side ED22DQXEW01 not cooling well

4 posts in this topic

Have a Whirlpool ED22DQXEW01 with a warm fresh food compartment. Compressor operates, defrost operates properly, both fans operate properly, damper moves properly. Cleaned condenser. Drain tube functioning properly. IR frozen food 24.5, fresh food 62. Evaporator frosting nicely.Exiting air from condenser fan doesn't seem warm enough. Without opening the system (heaven forbid) does anyone have sealed system temps (ie. condenser) for it? I'm getting about 80 at the front, 100+ in the back, but that's probably the compressor (shooting IR from front) and the condenser just doesn't feel warm like it should. Thanks

Frank

After your post I ran a second defrost (was loaded) and it started to run again. Figure the door must have been cracked overnight. The bottom of the evap started frosting nicely and freezer got to -5 and refrig to 34 overnight. Darn munchkins.
