Kenmore DW seal won't stay put

8 posts in this topic

It doesn't leak, but the seal on the Kenmore Elite DW keeps sticking to the door so that when the door is opened after a cycle the seal is partially pulled out. Annoying. Does the seal just need to be replaced, or is something else going on? The DW is only about 10 months old so it doesn't seem like the seal should be shot yet, eh? Thanks, Karl

Are you talking about the gasket pushed into the channel around perimeter of the d/w cabinet:  http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Gasket/W10300924/1875876

Or the squared-off cabinet seal:  http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Door-Seal/W10179427/1546660

Post a photo or three if you're not sure.  Use an online image host and post the links here.

Is the dishwasher leaking?

If you want it done right, buy the new gasket and install yourself. If you want it done cheaper, call and see if you are covered under warenty.
