My electric Whirlpool Duet Dryer (GEW9200LW1) occasionally shuts off with error code E1. Is the indication of a bad thermistor? If not, what is the cause of error code E1?

E1 is almost always a bad thermistor. It's an inexpensive part, so if you replace it and that doesn't fix it, you're not out alot of $$.
