I have a GE pdw9700j1011 that was repaired under a recall for the main controll board 2 years ago.  This unit is 9 years old.  Over the last 6 months, some of the buttons stopped working on touch pad.  I could start it but not change any cycles.  Now the touch pad is off and I can not start dishwasher.  I'm not sure if it is the touchpad or the main control board. Neither are cheap parts.  259.00 for both.  Any ideas and is it worth fixing or junking?

Thanks Bill

Try turning off the circuit breaker or unplugging the unit for a minute. Upon power up, see if you can enter service mode. Here's a service manual:

You'll need to upgrade your membership to download the manual: http://apprentice.appliantology.org/
