I say good job.  Maybe someday you'll find out why it blew but for now I say have at it.  I have replaced them before with no further problems.  Sometimes if the mw is built in or in a closed tight space, it can't breathe real good and over heats.  Especially if you are cooking something for a long time, I'm saying like 15 min or more.  Usually just warming up stuff won't do it.  Make sure it's in a good vented space and you should be ok.
