All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

Roper 2496X0 (Zero at end) need service manual or answer to question

Budget Appliance Repair

Recommended Posts

Old (Sept.1986) Roper Slide-in Down-draft electric range

Mod# 2496X0A   -  "A" is color code and not used in look up

Ser# 6S65585

Need a service manual, but for one this old, probably not going to find that - but would be nice.

I need to know if anyone knows if access to the surface control/Inf Switches is possible without pulling this unit out/having to disconnect the downdraft blower to move it.

It looks like from the parts diagrams the panel just above the oven door/below ERC and all Inf switches is removed for direct access to all of the control area.

Come on guys, 45 views and no help????????

Most of those clicks were probably me un utter disbelief that you're working on a range this old!

If I coulda found something for you, I woulda posted it.  Even ServiceMatters doesn't have anything on this old dawg.  Only other thing I found for it was an installation manual which covered nothing you need.

OK, thanks any way.

Was pretty sure I wasn't going to get a service manual but was hoping someone here has worked on one of these and at least had an to the question of access to the surface control switches.

I have to go out on it in about 1/2 hour and will find out when I'm there.

Thanks again guys...........
