O.K. so I buy this  iPad gizmo......................The office C.P.U.  decided not to cooperate with the office staff.........Was going out to purchase a new CPU till the old one was repaired.......So, I a looking at  new CPU when I spy this iPad thingy.....I ask the sales guy about it and he starts to speak Greek to me........................ I mean, the 8 track tape player in the old Chevy truck still operates, my cell phone is only 8 years old..........For in the field info, I have the H.P. Mini running X.P.......can it get any better than this ?????............................So here it sits on my desk, unopened, possibly unloved for I cannot  see the full potential / usefulness of this  'Miracle  of Technology'.......... .........................

Ipad is the only way to roll. 16gb is not much storage. You will have to store a lot of your info in the cloud using Evernote and Dropbox. I use both apps and they work great. I have a 16gb iPad mini that I use in the field with field harmony, Dropbox and Evernote. Between those. 3 programs (and appliantology of course) I kick some serious appliance bootay!

I gotta go back to the store where I purchased the iPad and ask a few questions that I shuda asked before I left the store......( Of course, some one here probably knows more than Staples sales person..  )...............................Like, If I do not have Wi-Fi, how do I reach this 'cloud'.......Gotta see if an 'Air-card' will work............A chunk of my calls are weekend rentals ( lights are on but nobody is home)    with the Wi-Fi password protected............................ 2) Can I add more G.B. of storage internally????.............................Got another question but I forgot what it was .......... :beatnik: ....

You can use an Air Card our set your phone as a hot spot and connect to the internet through your phone.

That's the way I roll. If 3G signal is good enough, then pulling up job rates in the Blue Book is reasonably quick.

I'm still running an old iPhone 4S-- it's speedometer pegs out at 3G.

But this fall, iPhone 6.  Then we'll see who's the caveman!

So, Old thread, but now the new big question is.... iPhone 6 or iPhone 6+?

The correct and obvious answer is Android OS for phone and android OS or Windows 8 tablet for the mobile computator. None of this apple nonsense.

Windows? Double or single pained? I think double is more energy efficient.

I'm going with the regular iPhone 6 because I already carry an iPad mini Retina for document storage and study so I don't need the plus size phone.  And putting a tablet up to your head to make a phone call is just so wrong on so many levels.

Well. I will have the 5s for another year then gonna get the 6 or whatever comes after the 6. Using the iPad mini now but I'm thinking of switching to the air for a little bit bigger screen.

I want the performance and features of the 6 plus but only the size of the 4s or 5s... but must suffer with the bigger screen on the 6.  Going upgrade a week or two after the 6 ison the market.  none of this preorder nonsense.

I'm waiting for the note 37. Probably should be out pretty soon. The holographic chatting will be awesome.

I'm waiting for the note 37. Probably should be out pretty soon. The holographic chatting will be awesome.

Then 5 years later the Iphone 48 will come out. Of course, Apple will advertise and make a big deal out of their new feature called....yeah you guessed it... holographic chatting. Then six months later the 48s will come out featuring a revolutionary idea, a replaceable battery. As usual, the Android folk simply chuckle and roll their eyes.

ps you did it once again, joking about the number of Note versions while forgetting Iphone has had many more versions but still playing catch up.
