All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

The freezer drawer is all out of alignment. Client says he had a different tech come over to change the drain tube. Part # W10619951 . When he was done the drawer was all out of whack. Right side of drawer closes within a 1/4 inch, Left side an inch. How to disassemble the complete freezer section to realign. Or is there a trick. Service manual. anything would help.

Thanks

Totally different type baskets. One drawer and rack below ice maker, can remove drawer under ice maker but the rails seem riveted in. Next to the Ice drawer, there is another drawer. Also no way I can see to get it out. The only site I have seen with a parts breakdown for this 1.5 year old model is Sears Parts Direct. And below the IM drawer and the one to the right of it, is a about 2.5 inch wire rack drawer that is on wheels that easily comes out. The basket that sits on the freezer door rails is not in backwards the slanted part of it is to the back of the freezer. Took out both the long 2.5 just above the freezer drawer that's on the rails, and the drawer that's on the freezer rails and still the same.

as stated previously, kitchenaid has a few more baskets. I have disassembled this unit using the methods in previously provided info and intuition. The rails you want to replace are like the ones in the provided manual. Disassembling freezer cam/cogs is in the manual. I provided tips on aligning cam/cogs in the first link

The top drawers are easier to remove then the one in the manual... should be small levers on the outside of those basket rails when extended.

Once again, if there are still more questions, you are doing yourself a disservice by asking them in this forum. Many techs, including those with better knowledge on this subject than me, will choose not to read or answer your questions since it is in the manual request forum. Furthermore, it has limited value in helping others in the future for the same reason. That is the reason for the rule limiting this forum to manual request only.

Odds are, with Whirlpool stuff, the best you may get in a reasonable amount of time is a tech sheet which is of no help to your problem.

Btw, why do you need to disassemble the entire freezer to realign the drawer?? simply remove freezer drawer, extend drawer rails and press in the remaining clips holding the rails in place. You can reach those retaining clips without removing upper drawers. Reverse to reassemble making sure the cogs are aligned perfectly (see first link i provided ) and the retaing clips are fully engaged. If still a problem, replace rails.

I am re-posting in Kitchen Forum. This model is different.

Rich if this drawer has an ice bucket with a magnet slider (allows bucket drawer to open with the freezer door if so desired) and all the way to the right, there is a wire basket with rollers.... it is the same as the one I am talking about. The ice bucket rail has levers on each side. The middle support bracket, which holds the right side of the icemaker bucket rail, comes off intuitively. There may be screws . I can't remember., I had to disassemble this thing three times this year. No info... using the information i provided earlier and intuition, i figured it out.
