Good morning,

My MIL (NOT to be confused with MILF) has a Kenmore 800 model 29822801 serial C04045611 with the automatic water level sensor that is filling all the way up with water regardless of load size. She found out about it when the drain from the laundry tub it empties into developed a clog & the basement floor got a tad wet. After unclogging the drain, we tested & sure enough it fills all the way to the top even when there's only a few articles in there. Is that the level control acting up?

Thanks,

It could be the temperature switch, but make sure the pressure hose, which goes from the temperature switch down to the bottom of the tub isn't clogged up.  If it is clear of gunk, then that switch should be the fix.  Also,  that part is a tad cheaper from APP than repair clinic, and gives you the same or better return policy!
