Hello

I have a Whirlpool AWO/D6931 washing machine which starts OK but after a few minutes switches off for just a couple of seconds and then comes back on and carries on from where it left off. It will keep doing this throughout the whole cycle. It also makes an intermittent loud clicking noise like it's short-circuiting at no particular point of the cycle. Everytime it tries to go to full spin it switches itself off so the clothes are still sopping when the cycle finishes. By switching off, I mean the whole digital display goes blank and the machine stops, as if I have pulled the plug.

I live in France and it's really difficult to get a good repairman who charges decent prices. An engineer is coming out on Wednesday but at a guess he says it is probably the circuit board which will cost around 200 euros. I bought the machine 6 years ago for 650 euros!!!

I'm unable to open it up, turn it upside down or whatever, for medical reasons but would appreciate some advice.

Anyone any ideas what it could be other than the circuit board?

Many thanks
