I am replacing the diverter motor assembly that was damaged by the leaking diverter motor seal.  This seal is sold only as part of the sump assembly from appliance parts shops.  However after doing some research I found out that the seal is a Simrit number 12000017.  The seal is a 10X18X4mm (ID,OD,Thickness) and can be found a some hydraulic parts stores.  The question that I have for the most honorable samauri is what should I use to lubricate this seal when I put I back into the sump, rinse aid or plumbers grease (sparingly applied to seal and packed behind the ring)?
