All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:

Frigidaire Drop-in Range FED355EB

Going out on probably my first official service call.

Looked for it, but couldn't find anything in the downloads section for this range.

The lady says the oven isn't heating, so hopefully it'll be pretty strait-forward.

Any tips or downloads would be very appreciated!

Also, wish me luck! Thanks!

I just uploaded this Factory parts manual to the downloads section, Click HERE.

It has a wiring diagram at the end, hope this helps.

If the oven won't heat, the bake element may have burned out. It is usually obvious to see where the bake element has burned out.  Test the bake element using an Ohm meter. If it has continuity it's OK. If not, it should be replaced.

Check the incoming power at the receptacle, It should be 110-120 on both legs.

Don't overlook the obvious or try to overthink it.

Good luck!

You can always get Frigidaire wiring diagrams at Frigidaire.com or their b2b site. If you need a full manual and can't find one here, make sure to request it in the Appliance manual request forum.

Congrats and good luck with your first repair! You are preparing in advance so your odds of a great performance has increased dramatically. Remember it IS a performance... ie act and behave like a great tech and you will, indeed, become one.

Thank you both very much!

Dbshumway, when I went to the link you gave me, it said "sorry, you don't have permission for that.". I'm subscribed and everything... what could I be missing?

No problem, uploaded files must be approved before becoming live...among other things, this helps keep the site virus free!
