GE can't do anything right lately

I never thought it would happen, that GE would engineer their appliances so bad that the stuff is bad right out of the box. Their parts look ups are wrong these days, and disassembly is getting ridiculous and time consuming. 

 

I hate their new style dishwashers where you have to remove the door just to replace the user interface board, and who was the idiot who decided to put the main control board at the bottom of the unit?

 

No wonder the CEO Jeffrey Immelt  wanted to divest their appliance division.

I think it can get worse, just wait 'till Electrosux gets full control of them!

I have hated GE for while. But having to remove the door to change a UI is just plain stupid.

That's why the Samurai's brand report is so important. Then people know what the best machine to buy is. It's gonna be more to fix a machine then what the customer paid for it because it's so time consuming.

I've done that UI changeout on one of their "Mission 1" dishwashers before. Total PITA. Tedious. Door was disassembled into several dozen pieces on the kitchen floor. Took about two hours. Amazingly worked when I finished. Problem is that you just can't charge enough for the job to be worth doing.
