I can hear the door switch and the start switch clicking, it doesn't start

You will need to check this fuse to see if it has blown. Should show continuity. If not then you need to replace and check for blockages in the unit to see why the fuse blew in the first place.

That was it!  Much thanks...glad it wasn't a snake, which did happen several years ago... crawled into the vent tube and wrapped himself aroung the fan.

did you know rat snakes have small rattles like a rattle snake?  'bout jumped out of my skin since we do have rattle snakes in Texas.
