I have a Gibson Heavy duty extra Large capacity front loading washer. Model # grt 1040 ASO-- just a basic model

It will fill up but won't agitate or spin. It seems like it filled up too much.

One day I made a mistake and used too much detergent.

I washed a load of jeans the other day and decided to respin them because it  was late in the day and I wanted them to dry faster than normal.

The next day I washed a load (I put them in and walked away) but they were still dripping wet.

The next load I tried to use just 2 pillow cases. I stayed to watch. The washer seemed to fill up with too much water. They wouldn't agitate.I used a cup to remove as much water as I could then  I FW'd the dial to spin, wouldn't spin.

Can you help?

I tried it again. The washer fills and empties. Does not agitate or spin.
