Whirlpool ET1FTTXKQ02.  It is making a load clucking sound when it turns on and off.  It is pretty load.  I can hear it 30ft away down the hall.  It is cooling like it should but it makes the noise when it cycles on and off around 3 or 4 times an hour.  I thought it might be the starter relay.  Would it be that load.  I can hear it over the tv 15ft away.  Had repair man out and of course no noise.  He got it to turn off and on with the temp contol and pluging and unpluging it but it did not make the noise.  Said he did not want to start replacing parts since he did not know the problem.  He has been a repair man for 30 years.  He ended up just vacuuming out the back while he had it out.  Of course after he left it started making th noise again.

The tell tale sign of impending doom.... compressor knocking... your compressor may last a month or it may last years....it's broken inside the hermetically sealed dome... it will worsen over time.

Not much you can do about it.. youcan be sad about it, or do what I did years ago... write a poem about it...http://appliantology...tale-of-horror/

Bruther Durham speaks the truth as always! Enjoy your time with the refrigerator and know that tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Now go get an ice cold beer out of that box and reflect on the good times.
