I've sniffed through the forums and download sections for any existing service bulletin concerning the broken drain pump bracket for the Samsung top load washer.  The original replacement drain pump assembly is NLA, and I know there's a couple of replacement pump kit available depending on date of production.  It appears the repair consists of relocating the pump to the machine base.

Model WA400PJHDWR/AA

Serial Y69Q5AECA08014P

Mfg October 2012

Units produced prior to 12/09/2012 will need Pump Kit Part number: DC98-01877A

Part number: DC98-01877A

Units produced after 12/09/2012 will need Pump Kit Part number: DC98-01877B

Part number: DC98-01877B

Looks like DC98-01877A is for this unit.

Here's the poop:  Customer called looking to order the replacement pump for this model.  He has advised me that the mounting bracket is broken, and judging by the posts I've perused, this is a fairly common occurrence.  And seeing the kits, It appears to be an interesting repair.

Now I haven't encountered this yet in the field, and I know the customer will take one look at the kit and call for help.

To gird my loins, y'all know of any service bulletins or part instruction sheets concerning this issue?

Mucho Mondo Domo Arigato in advance.

We put out an apb Senior Pduff, it appears our own beloved Bro Applianceman97 will come to the rescue.. as soon as he gets home.. and drink a beer... and do the dishes and watch the ending of his favorite soap opera... drink more beer... play with his slip-n-slide, take a bath, do his hair and polish his nails.... you know, his normal routine.. oh yeah... he said of course, he cannot type anything until his nails dry, so be patient.

Moving this one to the Kitchen forum - good general info to have out there.

Moved to laundry forum.
The info that Samurai posted is what I have. This is a pretty straight forward repair if you know what you're doing. I wouldn't have a customer do it.

Make sure you have the bulletin on you're iPad because the picture instructions are hard to see. You have to zoom them in.

It took me about an hour to do.
