Hi I am brand new to the site and forum, but I have done some looking to see if this problem hS been addressed and I didn't see it so I registered to ask about it. The fridge is probably 15-20 years o.d but still works just fine, but he ice maker just started to act up. It is the module style ice maker. We took out the icemaker to clean it - just mineral build up etc. and put it back together a coup,e days ago. It started to crank out ice just fine but last night it had a cube stick in the dump- out cycle, so I knocked it off into the bin and thought nothing more of it. Well, the wire arm is now stuck in a mostly upright position and it won't go down to start a new cycle. It can be raised to the "stop ice production" level but it won't go down to start making ice again. We are stumped - what did I do wrong and how do undo it? Any advice would sure be welcome - I miss my ice! Hanks very much!
