What Would You BUY? Washer / Dryer

I am looking for advice on purchasing a new washer and dryer. I am looking at the front load washer and dryers. I currently have a set of LG's that have been constant trouble and would like to try something else. I guess my question to all you appliance Guru's is, WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? based on longest life and least amount of repairs. We don't need all the bells and whistles, just a good quality set. Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.

Buy a set of speed queen front loaders. They are hands down the most reliable on the market.

I very much agree , speed queen is hands down , no doubt the best . I would encourage looking at the awn432sp speed queen top load washer. It is the best of the best and about a third of the price of the frontload .

I concur... I can't remember the last time I worked on a Speed Queen washer... worked on a SQ dryer recently but that repair is eventually required on all dryers (replaced the rollers).

Next recommendation would be a Samsung washer.

Whatever you do though, get a surge protector on that thing!

All speed queen washers with electronic controls have built in surge protectors.
