KitchenAid Dyer is grinding

2 posts in this topic

My KitcheAid dyer is grinding at the onset of turning it on.  It grinds for a few seconds and then does fine.  Occasionally, it will stop itself during the drying cycle and start up again.

I would suspect a motor going bad if it only does it on start up.  However this would be odd to come and go during the cycle.  You might have drum rollers wearing out, an idler pulley bearing going bad, or something in the blower housing hitting the blower wheel.  This will take further examination to pin this noise down.  Post a model number when you reply.
