After 12 years, our GE slide in oven/broiler does not work.  Please don't give me the lecture on GE.  I have learned my lesson.  The glow ignitors bake/broil give us nothing.  The cooktop works and I believe that the ERC works.  There are no error codes and the clock, timer, and temp controls function.  When you set the temp, I can even here the click that it is sending the information to "turn-on" the stove.  The self clean locking function works, but the oven does not heat.  The repairman (for a small consultation fee of $85.) told us that we need to replace the ERC.  He forgot to get the model number and when I checked this website, thought I would seek a second opinion. 

For the cost of eating out for the past two weeks, I could have purchased a new stove.  My wife is threatening me with buying a new stove, and she has stated that by the way, we need to redecorate the entire kitchen as long as we are changing out the stove.

i'm not sure but it sounds l8ike you have a gas stove.  If the oven does not work 99% of the time it is the bake ignitor.  Theyn will glow but not call for gas. Bake mostley

Yes, I apologize, this is a gas stove.  I too thought that it was the ignitors that failed.  The repairman stated that it would be improbable, if not impossible for both ignitors (broiler & stove) to both go out at once.  By the way,  the oven doesn't work at all, if it worked even 1% of the time, I might be able to get a pizza cooked.  Have you ever tried to cook a pizza on a gas grille?:X

GE JGSP23WEV Slide in Range   Cannot be sure which is your range, need the rest of the model number....I see two igniters, one for the broil and one for bake...are they both coming on or are they both dead???

GE JGSP23WEV1WW Slide-in Range.  Both ignitors do not function at this time.  The repairman stated that it would be unusual for both ignitors to go out at the same time.  If it is in fact the ERC that needs replacement, I want to make sure that if I am investing another $170. into the stove, will it work?  Will I also be replacing the ignitors soon?  Should I just buy a new Viking range?

Viking??   Be prepared to replace both igniters once a year or so.....I would start by tracing back from the igniters to see where you have lost your 120 volts to them with your volt stick/meter???

Buy the clock/control thru this site if you believe it is defective and it can be returned if it does not solve the problem, less shipping both ways, cannot get any better than that??  WB27K5187

You are truly amazing!!!  The new control clock solved the problem!  I installed the part myself and saved $$$$.  The oven, broiler, and self cleaning functions all work like new.  Thank you for the wonderful service.:D
