If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

GE Integrated Microwave Oven Dead

Recommended Posts

I have a GE JKP76G0V1BB combo microwave / oven. The microwave went dead all of a sudden, no light, no response on the keypad, no display. We replaced the control board but did not solve the problem, still no response. The oven below is working properly. Need help to diagnose what else may be broken? Thank you!

It sounds like the monitor switch has blown a fuse... Check the fuse that is wired to the door interlock switches. If it is blown, test the door switches before replacing the fuse or it will likely just blow again...:fart:

Agree with Hiroshi. Looking at the wiring diagram, L2 feeds the microwave. The first thing on the L2 line is a 15amp fuse that would kill power to everything.

Unfortunately I don't have the wiring diagram. Any way you can tell me where the L2 line would be? And the part number for the fuse to order?

You are correct! We figured out and replaced both the monitor switch and fuse, and the microwave is back in business! Thank you for your insights!
