I think I burnt the ERC...

I'm new to the world of large appliances and I think my ignorance has gotten me this time. Our first home is wired for three prong appliances. In the transition to the newer four prong, I miswired the ground and the nuetral on the oven. The range worked (and still does work) fine, but the erc and the oven were completely dead. My wife plugged a small appliance into the built in socket and when she did the erc lit up and then pop! She could smell a small amount of electrical smoke. I've since fixed the wiring in the socket, but the oven is still dead. Anyone have any wisdom to share? Does it sound likely that the controller is burnt? I took off the back panel and nothing appears charred to the eye, but there is some burnt smell that I wasn't able to pinpoint.
The oven is a Maytag glass top. Model # MER5870ACW.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

... then plug the range back in and see if you're getting 120v up to the ERC. If so, it's fried. You can scroll down to the bottom of this page a buy the replacement there.
