Whirlpool washer model # LSC6244AWO

How do I pull the transmission/clutch off of my Whirlpool washer model # LSC6244AWO?  The motor/pump is already off and the transmission is loose...

Need to remove the case which I assume is already done, then remove the agitator, to release the transmission, remove the lock nut that holds the spin basket onto the drive block then remove the spin basket so you can tap the drive block up off of the spin tube, this will release the whole assy...

Thanks, Pegi.   You were right about the case and such.  I took the transmission/clutch assembly out and found what I think is a snap ring floating in the clutch housing.  But I'm not sure where it goes.  Any ideas?  Or is this a case of "The machine works, so don't worry about it!"?   :-)

It looks like it might be Part #4 in the diagram, but I can't find where it locks into.
