Hi, I have a Tappan Dishwasher Model number 61-1043-10 that recently began making a very high pitched squealing sound. I took the lower assembly apart and found a destroyed upper impeller. I replace this, but it continues to squeal. It appears that it is not filling with water as it remains dry inside the washer. Would a faulty water inlet valve cause such a high pitches squeal or should I keep looking?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

We have seen fill valves on washers squeel when they are going bad, so I suppose one on a dishwasher could do this also...:?
